About the Project:
This peace and justice project aims to improve the correct application of the Turkish Criminal Code and the rule of law by conducting a comparative legal study of the criminal law of Germany which is deemed to be a source country in terms of law and the criminal law of the new Turkish Penal Code. The project which started in 2012 between ÖzU and the Faculty of Law at the University of Göttingen is still going on and it is intended to continue.
Project Finding:
A symposium on criminal law is held in Turkey and Germany every year. After the two day symposium, on the third day a seminar is executed. The papers of high value and scientific importance that are presented in this seminar are published in a proceedings book. Four volumes have been co-published in German-Turkish so far, and the 5th volume is still in press.
