About the Project:
This project aims to render the rule of law available at national and international level, ensure equality of access for all in the field of peace and justice and especially to settle legal disputes promptly, with no trial, and by means of alternative settlement techniques such as reconciliation and mediation. In this context, under the regulations and control of the mediation legislation and the Ministry of Justice, lawyers who have completed five years of practice are given at least 48 hours of vocational training to be experts on alternative settlement techniques of legal disputes before the mediation examinations that they will subsequently take. It is compulsory for the lawyers who want to obtain this professional competence to go through this training before they take the exam. With the practical training along with the theoretical training provided, fast and affordable justice has been made possible, peaceful conflict resolution models have come into use in a more widespread manner and the workload of the judiciary has been eased by solving simple disputes as well as helping people with limited access to justice.
