About the Project:
This projects aims to analyze the region-based investment climate in Turkey by using the Entrepreneur Information System database which comprises balance sheets, sales, wages and social security data of all businesses registered under the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
Project Finding:
We carry out a region-based investment climate assessment analysis by using “entrepreneur information system” that includes balance sheets, sales, wages and social security data for all the registered firms in Turkey. The empirical findings reveal the productivity differences between firms with respect to the region, size and the sector. By doing so, we will be able to see: -how regional factors such as entrepreneurial ecosystem contribute to the productivity of the firms, -how the size or age of a firm affects its productivity, -whether the subsidies that are provided to firms improve the productivity of the firms.
