About the Project:
A publication of ÖzU German Law Application and Research Center, the journal “Hukuk Köprüsü” holds to be a comparative law project which aims to contribute to Turkish and German law so as to reinforce the rule of law and justice by publishing two volumes of books every year. Since its inauguration in 2012, this project has been planned to stand as long as the German Law Application and Research Center does. The alignment of the entire Turkish legislation with the EU laws within the context of Turkey's EU membership process since 2001 has been based on German law. This project intended to contribute to the comparative law and rule of law by both transferring the entire accomplishments in every field of law from the source country to Turkey and transferring updated and accurate information about the Turkish law and scientific works to Germany and other countries.
Project Finding:
Within the scope of the project, two journals are published in German and Turkish every year in June and December and they are shared with the faculties of law in both Turkish and German universities, the judicial institutions and especially with legal experts in both countries. By so doing, the project aims to contribute to the mutual and fair resolution of conflicts and guide the lawmakers. Eleven volumes have been published so far and the 12th is currently in press.
